To all the teams who contributed to Area 5 Points rosettes, Buckingham were 4th overall club, 1st Open Horse Trials and 2nd Style Jumping. Successful individuals were Sarah Millard [2nd] and Becky Haynes [3rd] Open Horse Trials and Merrilyn Berry [1st] Novice Showjumping.
To Sarah Higgs and Merrilyn Berry who were 4th and 3rd individually at Moreton Morell Novice Show Jumping.
To the team who jumped at Blenheim and came 7th out of 30 teams - Becky Haynes, Sarah Millard, Merrilyn Berry and Sarah McNab.
The Buckingham Riding Club has a current membership of around 75, drawn mainly from the counties of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. The Club is affiliated to the British Horse Society in Area 5 of the British Riding Clubs movement.
Our principal activity is to arrange rallies and clinics with professional instructors, which usually take place during the middle of the day on most Wednesdays throughout the year. From time to time there are rallies in the evening and on other days including Saturdays. We also send Teams and Individuals to compete at Area 5 and other Riding Club shows and events, including several of our own.
Membership is confined to those aged 18 or over.
The riding club is now on Facebook too. After each Committee Meeting this Web Site is updated and the resulting information sheets, e.g. the Newsletter, Competitions, Teams, etc.,, are sent to Members by e-mail or by post to those who have indicated on their Application Forms their preference to receive Club mailings by this medium.
